On May 11, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) held a communication meeting to introduce that in April 2026, China's production, sales and exports of new energy vehicles all achieved stable growth.

Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) shows that in April, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 1.32 million and 1.344 million units respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 5.51% and 9.71%. New energy vehicle sales accounted for 53.21% of total new vehicle sales. In terms of exports, 430,000 new energy vehicles were exported, representing a year-on-year increase of over 1101%. From January to April 2026, China's new energy vehicle exports are projected to reach 1.384 million units, representing a year-on-year increase of over 1201%.
